Michael and I had quite the week! He started school last Tuesday and I've been busy with work. Michael is taking two classes this term: chemistry and writing. I'm really proud of him and excited for this new adventure in his life. We celebrated the day of his first class by going to Rogue Bar (of Rogue Dead Guy IPA) and watching a movie at the David Minor Theatre.
On Saturday I went to Portland with my boss and the other four baristas at our coffeeshop. It was an all expense paid trip to one of the top coffee cities in the country. We went to five of the best shops in Portland to marvel at their latte art and try their espresso. I don't really drink coffee but even I could appreciate how freaking good it was. And it was great to spend time with my fellow coworkers. I've been hanging out with one of my coworkers a lot lately and it makes me feel halfway normal again. Michael and I joke often how making new friends feels like dating again. We ask ourselves a lot of funny questions like "Is it too early, too eager, to call them again?" or we over think our text messages. It's cute, actually.
The rain has come and so we're settling into the long haul of Eugene's wet winter. Here are some pictures of one of our rainy days at the coast:
More from us soon. We have a few adventures coming up that I'm excited to tell you about!
Love from the Pacific NW,
katie (and michael)
